Common questions
How do I fish?
Pick a spot on the map, choose your bait or lure, and cast. If you're using bait and a bobber, wait for a bite and tap the reel to set the hook. Lures hook the fish automatically. Once a fish is on, hold the reel to fight it. Watch the tension ring: when a fish runs, let it take line instead of reeling against it, and reel again when it rests. Reel too hard for your tackle and the line will snap.
How do I remove the ads? How do I restore my purchase?
Open the Shop and buy Remove Ads. It's a one-time purchase that turns off the ads between trips for good. The optional free-bait video in your bait bucket stays available if you want it. If you reinstall the game or get a new device, open the Shop and tap the Restore Purchaseslink under the Remove Ads card. You're never charged again for something you already bought.
Why am I seeing an ad?
Rewarded videos only play when you choose to watch one. Occasional ads also appear between trips until you buy Remove Ads. See theprivacy policy for what that involves.
Which boat can go where?
- Kayak — fresh and brackish water: the ponds, Lake Okeechobee and the lagoons. The shallow flats and backcountry spots are kayak water only.
- Center Console — runs the coast: brackish and salt water, including the surf, inlets, piers and reefs, and out to the blue water.
- Sportfisher — salt water and the blue water, the top of the fleet.
If you own more than one boat that can reach a spot, you'll be asked which one to launch.
Where is my save data?
Your game is saved on your device only. There are no accounts and nothing is sent to a server, so there's no cloud backup: deleting the app deletes your progress, and a save doesn't move to a new phone on its own.
How do I start over?
A "New game" button sits at the bottom of the Catch Log.
